*BANDOS is a very important reference sire for ASA Farm, as our chief herd-sire, BONNE VIVANT, is out of a direct daughter of *BANDOS. *BANDOS is known for producing beautiful, long, upright necks, and pretty faces. He had wonderful big, black eyes, that just about melted your soul when gazing into them. I will never forget meeting *BANDOS at the beautiful Ventura Farm many years ago...his ethereal beauty and magnificent carriage is unforgettable. Growing up 20 minutes away from Nichols Arabians, owned by the famous movie-director, Mike Nichols, it was a blessing to enjoy his wonderful Polish herd, *Elkin++, *Elkana, *Fantazja, however one of the *Bandos sons, *Enoss, comes to mind on a regular basis. He lived out his days on the farm and was one of those horses, like his sire, that you never forget. He had this energy about him, this self-confidence and ownership of his surroundings that was calm but ever present.

BONNE VIVANT is the 2010 Region 2 AND Region 3 Champion Stallion Sport Horse in Hand (High Score in hand), the 2009 East Coast Reserve Champion Stallion Sport Horse in Hand (Champion was 1/10th of a point higher) and the 2008 Region 15 Champion Sport Horse Stallion (with the highest score of the show) and the 2007 Region 16 Reserve Champion Arabian Breeding Stallion ("main-ring"). BONNE VIVANT +++ is also winner of the prestigious Legion of Supreme Merit, earning 150 points in competition, with at least 60 points in hand (halter) and at least 60 points in performance classes.
In his 2010 performance debut in Dressage, he was the High Point Dressage Horse in all three of his first three shows. That included winning all six of his dressage rides at CNASHA and included a 74% in Training Level and a 70% in First Level. Thanks to USDF Gold Medalist, Patience Prine-Carr, for her hard work and talent in showing this beautiful stallion. BONNE VIVANT++ is now a Regional Res. Champion in First Level Dressage, with a 70.29%.
It is interesting to note that BONNE VIVANT carries some of the same Arabian bloodlines that founded most of the warmblood breeds who currently excel in Dressage, Eventing and Jumping.
To date, no sport horse of any sex, either open or amateur, that has competed against him at the regional level (350 horses so far) has ever been awarded a higher conformation score than Bonne Vivant. Also at Regionals, he has never been beaten at the trot by any of the open stallions (25) he has faced.
He is following in the hoofprints of his sire MONOGRAMM and the National Champions of his female family, which traces to the superb *BOLTONKA++, U.S. Reserve National Champion Mare and twice U.S. Top Ten Park. Kadence has sired 90+ foals, and of those -only about 20 have show records in Arabian competitions. Others have successfully competed and won in open shows, Pony Club, 4-H, and endurance events.
In Arabian shows, he has daughters that have won TOP TEN in Endurance, Competitive Trail, and TOP TENS at US in Hunter Pl., Hunter Pl. 40&over AAO, TOP TEN Canadian Nationals Hunter Pleasure. His get have won at Regionals (Top Ten, Top 5, Res. Ch., Champion) in the following regions: 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15. They were in: Hunter Pleasure, Hunter Pl. AO, Western Pl., Western Pl. AO, 3rd Level Dressage, Sport Horse Show Hack, Endurance, and Competitive Trail. In addition, they have also won in Halter, WP Jr. Horse, Training Level-First Level-Second Level-Third Level Dressage, Country English Pleasure in Class A shows. One mare was Top Five in Hunter Pleasure and HP AT at Pacific Slopes. Another was Top Ten at Star World. In open competition, he has a son that has won in jumping, dressage, and Pony Club. Another son often competed against Thoroughbreds and other breeds while jumping -and he was Reserve High Point in his division one year doing so. One mare has completed over 43 endurance/competitive trail rides, and YES, she did win some.
Many of his sons and daughters have been cherished family horses. They have excellent dispositions and that means a lot to me! Some of his daughters have proven themselves to be quality broodmares crossed on a variety of other bloodlines.

ASA Farm is blessed to own three daughters, all pure Polish, sired by this three time National Champion Park horse, MHR Nobility!
MHR NOBILITY was an unforgettable show horse, with 8 National titles in park. He was the first horse to be named U.S. National Champion Park three times. (the only horse with more U.S. National Championships in Park is his grandson APOLLOPALOOZA). His final U.S. National Champion Park title was won at age 14, an age at which most performance horses have long since been retired from competition. As a sire, this pure Polish stallion has often been under appreciated as he was not heavily promoted at stud in his final years. He has, however, sired 15 purebred National winners, 9 of them National Champions, and 21 Half-Arabian National winners, 10 of them National Champions. His daughters are proving to be exceptional producers as well, with 7 purebreds and one Half-Arabian having produced National winners through 2006, and of those 5 have produced National Champions. One of the National Champions produced by a NOBILITY daughter, VEGAZ, is actually inbred to him as VEGAZ is sired by a MHR NOBILITY grandson. Two of his sons have also sired National winners, including U.S. National Champion Park IXL NOBLE EXPRESS. At the 2007 Scottsdale Show three of the top ten in the English Pleasure Futurity class were sired by him. At the 2007 Cedar Ridge Sale, the unshown MHR NOBILITY daughter GSF DOMINATRIX was sold for $305,000, an exceptional price for a horse who has not yet competed in the ring. MHR NOBILITY get have enormous athletic ability and are also tractable enough to be ridden by amateurs and juniors at the National level.
